Restoration of Family Harmony After Counseling Intervention

Since participating in the Training of Trainers (ToT) on basic counseling provided by the Continuing Learning Organization (CLO) from 2022 to 2025, Mrs. Kim Sereyrath has effectively applied her skills to support clients facing various personal and family challenges. In one case, she provided counseling services to a woman who was facing domestic violence after her husband took a second wife. Before beginning formal counseling, Mrs. Kim Sereyrath made several visits to build trust with her client. Once the client felt comfortable enough to share her story, Mrs.Kim Sereyrath encouraged and provided counseling sessions to her to respond with patience and understanding. The client began using soft approaches speaking gently, showing care, preparing meals, other soft communications, and show her responsibility as good wife to her husband's well-being. After serveral counseling sessions, the husband’s behavior significantly changed. He stopped violence, became more compassionate, and began to treat his first wife with greater care and respect.
